This is RTCG’s preliminary tier of certification for field operatives who have demonstrated competence and skill in the discipline of physical entry. Professionals holding this title are required to demonstrate hands on manipulation of a variety of lock hardware and complete a multiple-choice test concerning access control, physical entry, and physical security.

Next Level | Certifications
Certifications which require you only to take test mean nothing.
This is why all certifications by RTCG require every applicant to show their mastery of the craft via hands on testing.
A demanding certification requiring all who seek it to be able to think on their feet, improvise, and make successful entry in a real building undetected... Applicants must also be able to not only attack all of the physical security hardware covered by the CEA Certification (under a higher-demand time pressure at this tier) but also produce a professional report documenting all compromises. In addition to the hands on entry challenges, applicants must also complete an extensive multiple-choice test about access control, physical entry, and physical security to obtain this certification.
This is the most demanding of the RTCG physical entry certifications. It may only be attempted by candidates who hold a current CEP certification and who are working actively in the security industry with a network of colleagues who can attest to the individual’s competence and professionalism. If approved for an applicant space in this certification track, an individual will proceed through a three-step process:
- Make successful entry into a high security facility via at least two routes of access, then document how this was achieved
- Pass a 150-question verbal exam under time and physical stress conditions
- Develop a new tool for covert entry and demonstrate its functionality successfully
